Who we are

We are ArBOR, a non-profit association registered and domiciled in Portugal. Our name is an acronym for our full name in Portuguese, which is Associação da Região de Benfeita para Objetivos Regenerativos (Benfeita Region Association for Regenerative Objectives). Our legal name is Asociação Benfeita Objetivos Regenerativos. Our registered headquarters is Rua da Capela 36, 3305-037 Pai das Donas, Coimbra, Portugal. What personal data we collect and why we collect it

There are only two sources of data collection specific to this website: a general contact form and a membership application form.

Contact form

We collect your name and email address for the purposes of replying to your enquiry and your agreement (or not) to be added to our mailing list. We may also use your data in a more generalised way for the purposes of internal monitoring of interest in the association and its activities and/or analysis of enquiries we receive.

Our mailing list data is securely stored and encrypted within our account at https://mailchimp.com .

Your data will not be transferred to any third party or used to contact you without your permission.

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FORM

We collect your name and email address in respect of the membership category you request. We may additionally collect your address, telephone and fiscal number (Portuguese residents only) should you decide to supply that information to us in addition to your name and email address. This data is used to process your membership of the association, for the purposes of advising you when annual membership fees are due, when and where annual general meetings of the association are to be held, for contacting you with news from the association (events, projects, etc) and for general analysis of association membership.

Your data will not be transferred to any third party.

Embedded content from other websites

The Resources and News sections on this site include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the you have visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

Our website does not collect any analytics data at present.

Who we share your data with

We may share generalised analyses of ArBOR’s membership and/or contact data with other parties, eg. for grant applications and fundraising, but we do not share personal details.

If you are a member of the association, we may share your name, fiscal number and membership details with the appropriate Portuguese national authorities if required to do so by law.

 

How long we retain your data

If you contact us with an enquiry, your name, email address and message may be digitally stored on ArBOR’s webservers for a period of up to one year following receipt. More general contact data may be stored for longer for the purposes of internal monitoring and analysis, but your personal details will not be included.

If you are a member of the association, or if you have indicated your agreement on the contact form, your name and email address will also be included in our mailing list. This data is securely stored and encrypted within our account at https://mailchimp.com and will remain there for as long as you wish to remain on the mailing list.

If you become a member of ArBOR, we will store your personal data for as long as you remain a member, or for as long as we are required to do so for administrative, legal or security purposes, whichever is the longer.

 

What rights you have over your data

If you are a member of ArBOR, you can request to receive the details of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you if you wish to discontinue your membership or no longer receive news from the association. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
